Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is an evidenced based talking therapy recommended by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) for many mental health problems although is not exclusive to mental health problems (sleep, stress, self esteem, pain and long term health conditions can also benefit from a CBT approach). It combines cognitive therapy (examining your thought processes) and behaviour therapy (examining the things you do). Mindfulness based interventions are also used to help you achieve your goals and prevent relapse.
We aim to teach you to become your own therapist, so that you can keep using the strategies after you have finished therapy.
